Formal technical reviews (FTRs) are used to detect errors and act
as an extremely effective quality filter. To derive their full benefit,
adequate time and effort should be invested in making them effective.
FTRs are conducted using a defined review process, which should
be continually improved. The review team must follow a set of guidelines
that are derived based on years of experience in conducting reviews.
In this section, we will discuss the guidelines for conducting
effective FTRs.
