If the courses are accessed through QAI Global Institute's Learning Management System the course progress can also be tracked using the Progress chart section of the LMS. This section reflects the percentage completion of a course.

Q: Can the courses be customized for clients?

A: QAI Global Institute wants to minimize the time gap between learning and application. The learners should be able to relate their learnings to their existing role in particular and to the organization at large. Putting up the organization specific standards‚ templates‚ policies etc. at relevant places in the course will help them associate better. For this we are working on a utility that will help in adding references on a particular page with in a course depending upon customer requirements.

Some advantages

The customization utility will enable organizations to add references that will help learners in:

  • Reducing the time-lag between learning and real-life application
  • Relating the learnings to their roles
  • Having a better understanding of the processes and standards in an organization

Current scope

The utility will provide an easy tree like structure for a smooth addition of references on the required pages.

Q: Are the courses too basic for employees in organizations that have already reached a certain maturity level? (E.g. CMMI Level 4/5 etc.)

A: There may be a group of employees in high maturity organizations who may find the content of QAI Global Institute courses to be basic. However‚ there will still be another group‚ who would definitely need these courses‚ considering that they cover topics that are essential for any software engineer.

In most organizations‚ the members of the second group far exceed the first‚ therefore; the courses are apt for even high maturity organizations.

Q: What is the method of licensing for QAI Global Institute courses?

A: QAI Global Institute uses the ‘ Named User’ licensing method. In this method‚ each user is given a separate login that only he can use to access the course content. QAI Global Institute does not support the ‘Concurrent User’ licensing method as that can result in a high level of piracy.

The licenses are valid for a fixed period post which they need to be renewed. The renewal charges are lower than the initial subscription charges.

Q: What are the possible delivery options if the client already has a LMS application?

A: If the client has a SCORM compliant LMS application‚ the course content will be delivered in a CD. The CD will contain files in a form that can be directly plugged into the existing LMS.

If the client has a non-SCORM LMS‚ the course content would be delivered in a format that would run on their LMS. However‚ in this case‚ the progress of the users can be tracked only through the in-built tracker and not through the LMS.

Q: How will QAI Global Institute manage competency and performance?

A: If the organization has an LMS‚ it will have the tracking and reporting capability that will enable the performance monitoring and competency management. Courses can be assigned to users based on learner skill gaps and competence required to perform the job. Also‚if the organization does not have an LMS‚ the same capabilities can be provided by QAI Global Institute's LMS.
