Kamlesh Kothari

Kamlesh is working with QAI as Vice President – Consulting Business. He has around 20 years of experience in providing and managing process improvement services and advising leading organizations globally on designing process framework. Kamlesh has guided and directed over 100 advisory and appraisal engagements covering areas such as Engineering Design, Service Management and People Performance in India and abroad. Kamlesh has the distinction of being one of the few Certified High Maturity Lead Appraiser for CMMI®-DEV and CMMI®- SVC product suites in the Asia Pacific Region, and one of the few internationally to have done a high number of process maturity appraisals. Prior to joining QAI, Kamlesh worked with KPMG as Director leading and managing process improvement services. He has also worked with other industry leaders such as BaaN and Voltas as Software Engineer.

Experience

He is involved in managing process improvement projects for key accounts of QAI

He is one of the few internationally to have done a high number of process maturity appraisals (around 25 CMM assessments and 47 CMMI based SCAMPI appraisals for Industry Leaders)

He had a distinction of being one of the few SEI authorized PSP (Personal Software Process) Instructor and TSP (Team Software Process) Launch Coach in India. Using these frameworks, Kamlesh has helped some of the global product development organizations improve its product development processes.

In addition to process management, he has worked on Practice/Project Management and Software Engineering discipline

He has served on the several review panels for evaluating best process implementations and is an active speaker in several process improvement forums in Asia Pacific region and covered topics of industry interest such as organizational process maturity, service excellence, high maturity.
